Outer East netball finals promises a nerve-racking weekend



It’s finals time for Outer East netball as teams clash in a fight for the cup.

The Premier Division Netball’s first finals round will take place at the Yarra Junction Memorial Reserve on 30 to 31 August.

In the A grade, Wandin plays Monbulk for the qualifying final round, while Emerald faces Woori Yallock as both teams attempt to avoid elimination.

Both of these matches will be livestreamed and commentated.

B grade sees Mount Evelyn face Wandin for a spot against ROC while Woori Yallock play Monbulk to avoid elimination.

C grade sees Wandin face ROC for a spot against Mount Evelyn while Gembrook Cockatoo plays Emerald to avoid elimination.

D grade sees ROC face Monbulk for a spot against Mount Evelyn while Wandin play Woori Yallock to avoid elimination.

It’s week two for Division One Netball, with the second semi finals round being played at Yarra Glen Recreation Reserve while the first semi finals are played at the Woori Yallock Recreation Reserve.

In the second semi finals, grades D through to A see the same fixture – Seville plays Pakenham Lions

Meanwhile, grades D through to A of the first semi finals pits Warburton Millgrove against Yarra Glen.

People attending the finals are reminded that pets aren’t allowed (with the exception of service dogs), and no alcohol can be brought inside the venue.
