It’s finals time for the Outer East Football Netball League as football teams dig in for the last matches of the 2025 season.
In the men’s football Premier Division Seniors, the qualifying and elimination finals will take place at the Yarra Junction Memorial Reserve on 30-31 August.
The qualifying finals kick off the weekend as second-place Woori Yallock will take on third-place Olinda Ferny Creek in a tense showdown, which will be livestreamed and commentated.
The two teams are separated by only one loss so they both will be keen to secure a place in the second round.
Sunday will see Monbulk take on Healesville at the Yarra Junction Memorial Reserve in a fight to secure their spot in the next round.
Though Monbulk lost to Healesville in their first clash of the season, their most recent game saw the Hawks win by 83 points.
Meanwhile ladder leaders Wandin will rest for the weekend having already secured their spot in the second round by default.
Earlier in the day, the Reserves will have their first final round at the same location.
Officer will take on Mount Evelyn for the qualifying finals, while Wandin faces Monbulk in a desperate battle for that second round spot.
The U18s will see Wandin play Officer for the qualifying finals while Healesville takes on Olinda Ferny Creek.
The Healesville Greyhounds Division One Seniors finals is in its second final round, with matches played across 30 and 31 August at the Yarra Glen Recreation Reserve and the Woori Yallock Recreation Reserve.
Off the back of a 24 point win against Pakenham, Seville plays Warburton Millgrove at the Yarra Glen Recreation Reserve for the second, both of which finished the season with 60 points.
Pakenham will meet with Alexandra at the Woori Yallock Recreation Reserve, where Alexandra will sure be hoping to nudge its way into the Preliminary Final.
The Reserves round pits Pakenham against Alexandra in the second semi finals, while the first semi finals sees Seville take on Warburton Millgrove.
In the U18s, Warburton Millgrove will hope to survive against Yarra Glen, while Seville will test their might against top of the ladder Pakenham.
People attending the finals are reminded that pets aren’t allowed (with the exception of service dogs), and no alcohol can be brought inside the venue.
