CFA warns of fire hazard after powerbank recall

The CFA has warned of the potential for powerbanks to start fires after two portable chargers were recalled.

The CFA issued the warning in a Facebook post on 27 June.

Electrical products such as powerbanks can overheat when left unsupervised, which may cause a fire when left on a flammable surface.

The Baseus power bank 65W 30000 and the SnapWireless PowerPack Slim (Gen One) were recalled in May.

Both powerbanks have caused property damage due.

On 27 May, the Star Mail reported on a house fire in Warburton which was caused by an electrical appliance.
