Heavy snowfall on Mount Donna Buang

Mount Donna Buang received significant snowfall yesterday night and will continue throughout the remainder of today, Wednesday 25 June.

On Tuesday night seven centimetres fell before another nine centimetres of snow fell today, with the heaviest snowfall occurring at 10am.

The de facto snow reporter for Mount Donna Buang, the Mountain Tucker Facebook page, said in a Facebook post at 8am today snow had reached down to the 10 Mile Turntable.

“Access at this stage is only to the 10 Mile carpark – the grader and traffic management is on scene but as snow is predicted to continue all day, the road from 10 Mile to the summit will probably stay shut – but accessible by foot.”

“This may change throughout the day,” the post read.

Snowfall will continue throughout today before easing tomorrow.
