
Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) and Country Fire Authority (CFA) advise that the Wesburn – Mineshaft Hill Track planned burn, located at 2km south east of Wesburn will be ignited at any time within the next 10 days if conditions are suitable.
It will be 122 hectares in size and is located roughly 200 metres south from the Wesburn Recreation Reserve.
Weather conditions and fuel moisture levels at the burn site are being monitored and safety checks carried out in preparation for the burn – if conditions are not suitable, the burn may be postponed.
Road travel may be hazardous if smoke causes low visibility – road users driving along Warburton Highway through Wesburn should exercise extra caution if smoke causes visibility issues.
Crews in fire-fighting vehicles will be using local roads to access the burn area.
