With the mercury staying in the single digits for most of the day and rain a frequent sight for students this school holidays, here are three ways to stay warm and entertained.
1. Learn a new skill
For kids not keen in getting muddy playing sports, there are plenty of clubs welcoming new members, from local chess clubs to social groups for children of all ages.
2. Visit your local library
Libraries always have plenty of free and fun events focused on creativity. Or simply go along to cosy up with a new book.
3. Stay in and have fun
There are plenty of ways to have fun at your own home. Make some space to build a couch fort or break out the candles, sit around the fire and tell ghost stories.
