Hillcrest CFA’s Rochelle Poulton begins battery collection drive

Hillcrest CFA’s Rochelle Poulton will be once again taking on the Melbourne Firefighters Stair Climb this September and has started her annual battery collection to fundraise early.

Ms Poulton is encouraging residents to get in touch with her to be picked up throughout the year, aiming to get almost another 200 to take her total over the years above 1000.

Any old car/truck/bike batteries will be accepted and anyone interested in donating a battery can contact her on 0472 610 029.

The Melbourne Firefighters Stair Climb involves firefighters from around the state scaling 28 floors of Crown Metropol in up to 25kg of turnout gear and breathing apparatus.
