An information session for the Running for a Roof event from local charity One Family at a Time is coming up for any of those who may be interested in joining the trip to Cambodia for this year’s run.
This year’s event will be held from Monday 3 June to Monday 17 June, with attendees spending a week and a half with the One Family team in Siem Reap to understand the needs of the local communities and the Khmer people, including meeting the people whose house their fundraising will help build.
A few days before the half marathon in the capital of Phnom Penh, attendees will board the bus to head for the capital. On Sunday 16 June, they will run the half marathon, though attendees don’t have to run the whole 21km.
All attendees will be required to cover their own expenses as well as to try and achieve the fundraising goal of $1000 to donate.
