Spring is almost here and so to is some welcome rainfall for the Yarra Valley.
Rain is forecast for late Tuesday 29 August and later into the week.
At the moment in Yarra Glen, it is cloudy with a very high chance of showers, most likely in the evening.
There is a chance of a thunderstorm in the northwest suburbs in the afternoon and evening.
Winds are currently northerly 30 to 45 km/h via the BoM Updates at 9am Tuesday morning.
The rains have come of the back of a a small eddie which helped to keep much of Melbourne covered in fog and low cloud on Monday 28 August the Bom reported – the fog burned off later in the afternoon to deliver some stellar sunshine to the outer east.
