Yarra Ranges Council’s Bookaburra Storytime supports young children’s early literacy skills and fosters a love of reading.
It includes stories and songs led by volunteers provide a welcoming, inclusive, and fun space for children and families to spend time together and to meet other local families.
Bookaburra Volunteers share their passion for literacy with children and families through books, songs, puppets and music.
Council is currently seeking volunteer storytellers for the Upper Yarra, volunteers are assessed for suitability and are trained and supported to read to small groups.
Sessions are located across the Yarra Ranges throughout the week.
