Eildon residents some of the slowest voters in the state

Eildon has one of the lowest total early voting numbers as of Wednesday 23 November, with 37.7 per cent of the electorate heading to the polls early.

According to political commentator Antony Green, the only electorates with less are Preston, Lowan and Broadmeadows.

16 per cent of those who early voted did so by mail, with the other 21.7 per cent heading to early voting centres.

In nearby Evelyn, 44.9 per cent of residents on the electoral roll had voted already, with 14.9 per cent via mail and 30 per cent via early voting centres.
