Residents in the Upper Yarra must be correctly enrolled to vote by 8pm, Monday 18 April.

It is compulsory by law for eligible Australian citizens to enroll and vote in federal elections.

If you are an Australian citizen aged over 18-years-old and have lived at your address for at least one month, you will need to enroll using your driver’s license, passport number or have someone who is enrolled confirm your identity.

Enrollments must be completed online, as the 13 April cutoff for posted enrollment forms has passed.

More information can be found at www.aec.gov.au/enrol. People who do not vote in the May 21 election may receive a fine.
