Eastern Volunteers are hosting a roving expo to promote volunteering, which is starting in Warburton and Yarra Junction tomorrow Wednesday 23 February.

The project, Volunteering Yarra Ranges, has been funded by the Yarra Ranges Council and aims to encourage community engagement with local volunteer organisations, educating residents about the volunteering opportunities available and why they are so important.

The expo will be in Warburton from 9am until 12pm outside the Waterwheel on Warburton Highway before heading to Yarra Junction from 1pm to 4pm outside the Yarra Junction newsagency on Warburton Highway.

The roving expo will be visiting towns in the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges over the next six weeks, with visits planned for Lilydale, Chirnside Park, Healesville, and Belgrave. Each location will hold the expo twice, including another visit to Warburton and Yarra Junction.

Star Mail will be speaking to representatives tomorrow and will have more information on the project to follow.
