SEEING Eye Dogs Australia (SEDA) urgently requires puppy carers, with 40 young pups that are searching for loving homes. Mark Jackman from Yarra Glen with ‘Delilah’ are members of the puppies in training program and are a great example of the benefits of volunteering as a puppy carer, and the positive influences that the program has on the volunteer and the wider community. The Seeing Eye dog puppies need to be socialised from a young age as they need to be comfortable in a variety of environments for future roles as working Seeing Eye dogs. Each Seeing Eye dog costs up to $50,000 to train and puppy carers are essential to SEDA and their breeding program. 152845 Picture: ROB CAREW
