Essential read for businesses

YARRA Ranges business operators will soon be able to catch up on the latest business and training opportunities in the shire, with the release of the July issue of BusinEssentials, a free business newsletter produced by the council’s Economic Development team.
BusinEssentials is distributed to more than 7600 local businesses and helps keep businesses up-to-date on training opportunities, the latest innovations, events and funding opportunities.
Deputy mayor Graham Warren said the publication was a valuable aid to small, medium and large business operators in the Yarra Ranges.
“BusinEssentials helps promote business innovation and is an important way in which the shire can help support our local business sector,” Cr Warren said.
“The publication is a great way to profile the work of successful businesses, providing role models for other business operators.
“Many people who run a business, especially smaller ones, are time poor. So it’s a great help to be able to keep businesses up to date on possible government funding, emerging trends and networking opportunities.”
Issues covered in the July edition of BusinEssentials include E-marketing, the shire’s Sustainable Business Program, the August Business Breakfast, alternative energy and sponsorship opportunities.
BusinEssentials can be found on the shire’s website or picked up at one of the shire’s five Community Links.
