On a small and sandy oval in Belgrave, Wesburn adapted extremely well to the unusual conditions to play some amazing football. The leadership of Ben, Cooper, Chris, Cody and Shannon was outstanding all game, and Dylan played like a true captain. With only three games remaining in a rewarding season, the Wesburn juniors are playing some excellent football and deserve what they have worked so hard for.

A game between two teams competing for a spot in the finals, Wesburn stuck with their bigger opponents for the first three quarters before being slightly overrun in the final. A fast start from Belgrave saw the home side open an unassailable lead by quarter time. Wesburn knew that they could do one of two things for the rest of the match, and they responded to what was asked of them; tackling with a strong desire and attacking the ball without fear and hesitation. This was a due to a high work ethic that will be needed next week as the boys take on the strongly anticipated clash against Yarra Junction.

Healesville were outplayed by Emerald after a slow start to the game. Emerald used their skills better and provided more run to get a good lead by half time. Oscar Mills was good at half back. Jake White and Jake Chandler come up from the Under 15s to be amongst the best players in the back line. Dylan Anderson also was affective up forwards and on the ball. Healesville played better in the second half but found the lead to much to overcome.
