D Grade go for premiership against Powelltown

Grand Finals are happening this Saturday 2 September.

D Grade Warburton-Millgrove FNC are playing off for the Premiership flag against Powelltown.

Co-Coach Anita Woods said that it has been another great season for the D Grade girls, going undefeated and finishing with 11 wins under their belt.

“Amazing effort from Tamin Crunden winning the League Best and Fairest and Cam Partel winning the leading goal shooter award,” she said.

“This game will be a tough battle against Powelltown. It is a 2022 Grand Final replay, which is set to be a good match. Last time they met was in the first week of finals and the end score line was in our favour 24-13. We have a good group of netballers, that will no doubt bring their best on Saturday.”

Here are the results from each time they have met this season:

ROUND 3: Powelltown 15 to Burras 24

ROUND 7: Powelltown 15 to Burras 24

ROUND 11: Burras 29 to Powelltown 15

FINAL 1: Burras 24 to Powelltown 13.

Get down to YARRA GLEN this Saturday to cheer the D Grade girls home! 9am!

GOOD LUCK ALL
