Wednesday 30 November PAR:
With the improved weather pattern, the Warburton Golf course is looking to give up consistently good scores now, (and the course IS in magnificent condition, considering what it’s been through this last winter/s pring period – well done Paul and Andrew).
The winner on this day was none other than the Happy Captain Ray Gilmore.
The “skipper” posted a creditable +2, the best result on the day, beating new member, Tom-Barr, who returned a +1, to snare the R/up voucher.
The ball rundown finished at -2. The NTP’s were shared by Ken-White (3rd), Tom-Barr (9th and 12th) and finally, to Mario De Vincentis (15th).
Twilight:
Sean Kennedy led the chasing pack clearly this week, by scoring 20 very solid points.
Bruno was two clear of the field, with Steve-Noonan grabbing the R/up prize, after a tight countback. (You always were born under a lucky star, Noons.)
Balls, in a largish field of 30+, only extended to 17. The three NTP’s on offer, went to P.K. (2nd shot on the 1st), Dave Wappett (3rd), and to the field winner, Sean-Kennedy (9th).
Saturday 3 December Stroke and Medal of Medallist’s playoff:
Ok, so if I don’t mention first-off, that Mr Noel-Cross has just collected his FIRST Medal of Medallist’s trophy, then I’ll be in serious trouble.
Noel is one of our most consistent low-figure golfers, on Saturday playing off an impressive 10 and posting a solid 78 off the stick.
A popular result, Crossey, so enjoy it while you have 12 months of “bragging rights”
Now, to the daily results.
Young “tyro”, Riley-Foster, won the day, and the December Medal, with a superb Nett 63.
Our new Medallist, Noel-Cross, was the daily R/up returning a Nett 68.
Balls got down to 71 only. Finally, NTP’s were taken home by Steuart-Hawke,(3rd), Danny-Fox,(5th), Peter-Whitehead, (9th), Jaqui-Hall, (12th) and Skipper-Gilmore, (15th).
Next week, the club will host The Farrier-Cup, so book in early, folks.
