The Warburton Bowls Club had a well deserved break in Pennant last week due to several members participating in the Victorian Open up in the Shepparton area.

Well done to all the participants from the Burras and other local clubs who performed most admirably throughout the championships and achieving some great results.

In blustery conditions the weekend Warburton 1 side were outplayed by Yarra Glen 1 on their grass green.

The game was played with great spirit from both sides with the home team winning 104 shots to 64.

Rink scores were: S. Lee- Tet 15/ 27; A. Donohue 17/ 26; C. Neale 18/ 21 and P. Caneva 14/ 30.

The Burras are very determined to get back to some winning form starting with this weekend’s double header against Brighton 1 at home on Saturday and Croydon 1 away on Sunday.
