Healesville’s Tuesday side wins flag



Tuesday Pennant results played on the 5 and 7 March 2019 are:

Healesville Bowling Club’s Tuesday number one midweek side won their semi-final at home against Heathmont 3 on the Tuesday 58/47, then travelled to Boronia on a neutral grass green to play the other semi-finalist Glen Waverley 2 on Thursday 7 March and won by one shot 63/62.

Results Semi-final Tuesday 5 March 2019:

Healesville 1 – (58) def. Heathmont 3 – (47) S. Graham 16/13, – W. Mays 24/21, – R. Turville 18/13.

Results Final Thursday 7 March 2019.

Healesville 1 – (63) def. Glen Waverley 2 – (62). S, Graham 14/23, – W. Mays, 20/24, – R.Turville 29/15.

Saturday’s Healesville 2 side played Heatherdale 3 in the semi-final at home and after being down 38/42 at the break, got up to win by 4 shots in another exciting finish 79/75.

Healesville 2 side played Heathmont 5 at Boronia in the final on Sunday 10 March and were beaten 89/50.

The Healesville number 2 side did really well this year after going up a division last season and will go up again for next season to Division 4.

Healesville 2 – (79) def. Heatherdale 3 – (75) W. Mays 27/11, – G. Gommers 14/28, – C. Boland 24/13, – R. Turville 14/23.
