Healesville Bowling Club’s number one side travelled to play Lilydale 2 on their slick carpet on a very hot day with bowlers really struggling in the heat. At the break Lilydale were on top 42/23 and handled the conditions on their green much better than Healesville to have an easy win 99/54. Healesville 1 – (2/54) lost to Lilydale 2 – 16/99) A. Phillips 23/12, – A. Beales 11/23, – S. Graham 6/39, – B. Simmons 14/25.
Healesville 2 played Heatherdale 3 at home and had another convincing win 86/66. Healesville 2 side has had a very good season to finish on top of the ladder and play a home semi-final against Heatherdale 3 next Saturday who they beat today. Healesville 2 – (16/86) def. Healesville’s 28 teams playing Corporate Challenge are at the half-way mark having played three weeks and there are only four sides who have won the three games. The ladder in order Hot Taps, Pro Vit Cult, Alcatraz Bird Control and Above Board Plastering.
