Final round rolls through



 In the final round of the season, Warburton 1 played Heathmont 1 away and went down valiantly, 70 to 92. Rink scores were as follows: J. Van der Zweep 14/ 24; J. Brookes 15/ 37; C. Neale 21/ 16 and S. Lee- Tet 20/ 15.

Warburton 2 played top side Heathmont 3 at home and also battled hard before going down, 65 to 92. Rink scores were P. Summers 21/ 15; S. Freestone 16/ 27; N. Whelan 12/ 30 and B. Hall 16/ 20.

The Mid- Week Tuesday Pennant team played Croydon 2 at home and won in the lead up to the finals. No rink scores available. Warburton play Yarra Glen 2 at home on Tuesday 5 March in the semi-final with the grand final on Thursday 7 March.

The Wednesday Night Barefoot Bowls Triples Competition continued with the last round before the Finals’ Night. Results were as follows: Nutters 19 d G. Force 9; Pensioners d Trailer Trash by forfeit; KT’s 29 d Shambolics 5; Burra Boys 17 d Big Al’s 10; Get Schwifty 19 d Dunny Diva’s 6; Saint Dogs 24 d Reefton Rockets 10 and Bolters 16 d Moonshiners 13.

Jason Van Der Zweep won the MVP for the Warburton 1 side and the overall Club Greenlow Pennant Player of the season. Runner up MVP was Chris Neale. Veteran Stan Anderson won the MVP for Warburton 2 with Peter Summers runner up.
