The issue of violence against women is set to take the spotlight in the Yarra Ranges.
Eastern Domestic Violence Service (EDVOS) Chief Executive Officer, Jenny Jackson, is preparing to deliver a keynote speech to the region, which aims to address men’s violence against women and gender inequality.
Yarra Ranges Council will host the free event on Tuesday 21 November at the Box Hill Institute’s Lilydale Lakeside Campus.
EDVOS is a specialist family violence service in Melbourne’s eastern metropolitan region, which provides a broad range of services to support women and children who are responding to family violence.
The session will begin with a speech from Yarra Ranges Council Chief Executive Officer, Glenn Patterson, as he discusses council’s efforts to address gender inequality.
The presentation will start at 2pm in the LB/LC building.
There is free parking available on the campus and a bus service runs from Lilydale Station to the campus.
The session will conclude with afternoon tea, so please make sure you RSVP.
