Police arrested four teenagers in Healesville this morning following an alleged armed robbery in Elwood.
The incident occurred at a service station on Marine Parade, just before 1am.
Shortly after 3am four teenagers were arrested in Healesville and are currently being interviewed by Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives in relation to the armed robbery.
It is believed the teenagers hit a tree on the corner of the Maroondah Highway and Airlie Road, and have then left the car and ran along the Maroondah Highway before being intercepted by police.
The victim of the alleged armed robbery in Elwood, a 37-year-old Broadmeadows man, told police that a group of teenagers, possibly three boys and one female, armed with knives, threatened him before taking his keys and driving away in his car.
The teenagers, a 14-year-old from Ashwood, two 15-year-old boys, from Altona Meadows and Elsternwick, and a 16-year-old Werribee girl are expected to be charged with armed robbery, theft of a motor car and weapon offences.
