Yarra Ranges council is inviting Healesville residents to come and share ideas surrounding the construction of a new playground in Queens Park.
Community workshops will be held in mid-April where locals are welcome to suggest ideas, designs and concepts that they may have about the new playground.
Everyone is welcome, and all opinions will be heard, even children can put in a suggestion.
Council staff will be asking residents and visitors in Queens Park for ideas and opinions on the playground from 10.30am-noon on Tuesday, 11 April.
Coinciding with the children’s school holidays movie sessions, a pop-up session including children using the playground will be held at the Memo Hall on the same day, from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
Ryrie Ward Councillor Fiona McAllister will also join the project team for a community investment and expressions of interest meeting on Wednesday 12 April from 6pm-7pm.
Cr McAllister said residents would have the opportunity to discuss how they could contribute towards the project at the Wednesday night meeting, which would offer a chance for passionate residents to not just lend their thoughts, but also their hands.
“We want to know if there are locals interested in offering their time, skills or talent to partner in the playground project,” Cr McAllister said.
“It could be a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community to create something amazing.
“After all, we have a history of doing just that in this town.”
