YARRA Valley Water attended to a burst water main on Hunter Road in Healesville, about 11am on Thursday 8 December.
The water jet reached up to five metres high, spraying water, rocks and dirt over surrounding businesses and properties.
A spokesperson for Yarra Valley Water said businesses around the area may not have water for a few hours.
