PLANNED burns are scheduled for Tuesday 29 March at Montrose and Reefton.
DELWP Forest Fire Management, Parks Victoria and CFA have issued notifications for Browns Track in Montrose, Observation Road, 1.5 kilometres south-west of Reefton and another location 12km south-east of Reefton township.
The burns are scheduled between 9am and 6pm and smoke will be visible for several days.
Anyone experiencing health symptoms as a result of smoke are advised to seek medical advice or call Nurse on call on 1300 606 024, and close windows and doors.
Motorists are advised to look out for low visibility and changes to speed limits and to obey all traffic signs and instructions from fire agency crews. Check http://traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au for travel times and roadworks.
