Driver dies in Narbethong crash

A man, believed to be in his forties, has died after a crash in Narbethong.

A MAN has died following a single-car crash in Narbethong earlier today.

Emergency services were called out to Marysville Road in Narbethong at 11.27am on Friday, 29 January, after the man, believed to be in his forties, left the road and hit a tree.

The man, the only occupant of the car, died at the scene.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the exact cause of the crash had yet to be determined.

PARAMEDICS are treating a man in his forties at the scene of a car crash in Narbethong, with an air ambulance being sent to the scene.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson told the Mail at 1pm that the man had been trapped in his car after crashing into a tree at 11.27am, and had been freed by emergency services.

The spokesperson said the man was being treated at the scene by paramedics, and that an air ambulance was en route to take him to hospital.

A MAN in his forties remains trapped in his car and critically injured, after hitting a tree on the way to Marysville earlier today, with emergency services working to free him.
An Emergency Victoria spokesperson told the Mail that emergency services were called out to the crash on Marysville Road, in Narbethong, about 11.27am on Friday 29 January.
Five fire trucks were called out to the scene, as well as SES crews, to help free the man from the car.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said that, as of 12.15pm, the man appeared to still be in the car, and was critically injured.
“We’re currently on the scene, treating that man,” the spokesperson said.
