FIRST division came home from Lilydale with a well-earned win, seeing Yarra Glen finish with three rinks up and 16 points for their efforts moving up the ranking to 6.
This win has brought back a spring to the step in the club, which worked through many hard weeks at the start of the season.
The second team wasn’t as successful going down to a strong Warburton side as did the third team, being defeated by Monbulk.
Congratulations to the club chairman who was recently awarded Club Volunteer of the Year for his dedication and conviction to the club.
Peter Nelson is the heartbeat of the Yarra Glen Bowls Club.
Mr Nelson does so many things, seen and unseen, and is a humble man who goes about his business quietly with passion and often without recognition.
