POLICE have seized drugs and a motorbike from a Healesville property, after executing search warrants on Monday afternoon.

At 3.30pm on Monday, 26 October, Healesville Police and Highway Patrol officers executed a search warrant at a White Street, Healesville address in relation to an allegedly stolen motorbike.

The motorbike was spotted on Maroondah Highway at 11am, according to a Victoria Police spokesperson.

“Officers executed a warrant at the address this afternoon, seizing the motorcycle, and a small amount of drugs,” the spokesperson said.

The motorbike, a blue Yamaha AG 200, is believed to have been stolen during a burglary in Molesworth between 1-7 September.

The motorbike, along with the ute it was tied onto, was taken away by tow truck, while police spoke to residents at the property.

Healesville Police Sergeant Stewart Thomson said police believe the ute had been used in the commission of an offence.

“So it’s been seized until a Magistrate determines what to do with it, once we’ve completed the investigation,” he said.

Sgt Thomson said a small amount of cannabis was seized from the property, and that police were expecting to charge a 22-year-old Healesville man in relation to the raid.

The Victoria Police spokesperson said that police investigations were ongoing.
