SEVERAL CFA crews from the Dandenong Ranges today attended a blaze at a Monbulk panel beating business, with workers forced to evacuate the building.

While the cause of the fire had not yet been determined, it is not believed to be suspicious, with the fire brought under control about 10am.

All those working in the building evacuated the building safely.

CFA District 13 Operations Officer Ian Cross said crews were called to the fire on Main Road around 9.50am.

“We had crews internally attacking the fire which quickly stopped the spread of the fire,” he said.

“The building is heavily fire and smoke-damaged.”

Crews from Mount Evelyn, Monbulk, Sassafras, Belgrave, Kallista and The Patch attended the incident.
