Personal bests stack up

By JAMIE STRUDLEY

A RECORD number of runners turned up to what was the first opportunity to achieve personal best times and to be rewarded with either a chocolate frog or some Minties.
The Morrison Reserve course was fast and furious and contributed to a near record number of personal bests.
Perfect weather and short grass makes for fast times.
The club also welcomed neighbours’ Cockatoo who as in the past will be running regularly with club members. The club is looking forward to host its inaugural cross country open day on 23 May at Wandin Park. This is a huge event for members and the club is ready to make it a special day, as well as place medals. There are also team certificates to be distributed which gives more runners an opportunity to stand on the podium. Next week club members are back to the Lillydale Lake and all newcomers are welcome.
