Mountain of kids fun

By KATH GANNAWAY

LAKE Mountain is gearing up for fun and adventure this weekend.
The final weekend of the Adventure Kids Festival series which has seen Mount Hotham, Falls Creek and Mount Baw Baw transformed into adventure playgrounds over the past few months will be held at Lake Mountain on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April.
Just over an hour’s drive from the Yarra Valley, the Lake Mountain festival provides a great opportunity for kids and parents alike to get amid nature with stacks of activities including a flying fox and roller skiing.
Kids can try their hand at bushcraft or geocaching, cook up some damper, discover why orienteering is called ‘cunning running’, challenge themselves on the obstacle course or get creative with bushart.
Activities will run from 10am to 4pm each day.
Take advantage of the last of the milder weather before the snow sets in and visit www.adventurekids.com.au/locations/lake-mountain for more information on the festival, and to book tickets.
Adventure Kids Giveaway
The Mail Newspaper and Lake Mountain Alpine Resort have teamed up to give away five double one-day passes to the Adventure Kids Festival. The passes, valued at $100 (meals and accommodation not included), can be used on either the Saturday or the Sunday.
Parents/guardians are free, so each pass covers two children.
To be in the draw simply like, share and comment and post the word ‘Adventure’ on the Mail Newspaper Group Facebook page.
The winners will be drawn on Thursday 16 April at 5pm.
