TEN into 60 goes quite economically for anyone who enjoys international and Australian movies on the big screen.
The first of the Yarra Ranges Film Society’s 2015, 11-movie program screened in February, but with the annual subscription of $60, ($55 concession and $30 under 25) for the remaining 10 films, it’s great value.
This year’s program, selected by society members, has some outstanding comedy and drama films from around the world.
Ashes and Diamonds, a Polish drama made in 1958 and set during the German occupation of Poland during WWII, is next up on 10 March in Warburton, and 17 March in Healesville.
The Australian 2012 comedy/drama The King is Dead screens in April,
The Finishers (France) is in May, The Angels’ Share (UK) in June, My Sweet Pepper Land (Iraq) in July, Whistle Down the Wind (UK) August, A Gun in Each Hand (Spain) September, The Invisible Woman (UK) October, Two Days, One Night (Belgium) November and M. Hulot’s Holiday (France) finishes off the year in December.
The Warburton Film Festival is on from 12-14 June.
