WANDIN Rotary Club members are out and about again this year with their Christmas Trailer Raffle.
The raffle was launched at the Wandin Car Show where the response was fantastic.
Rotarian Gavan Mcintyre said the raffle was one of the club’s major fund-raisers, raising thousands of dollars each year for the club’s community projects.
“It’s a great prize with the winner not only getting a brand new trailer, but a wonderful load for the house, the garden and the kids that, particularly at this time of year, is really worth winning,” Mr McIntyre said.
The club took the opportunity at Wandin to thank Michael Halligan from Michael’s Trailers in Healesville.
Mr Mcintyre said this year’s trailer was the second donated by Michael over the past three years and they got a major discount on the other one.
“This very generous support contributes enormously to the success of projects like this, and we also know that Michael gives away a huge number of trailers each year to other Rotary clubs and community groups all around Melbourne,” he said.
Keep an eye out around Wandin and Seville for the Rotary Christmas Trailer. They will be at the Wandin Sunset Festival on Saturday 6 December and the Wandin Car Show on Wednesday 17 December and will be drawing the winning ticket on 20 December at Wandin Shopping Centre.
