Briefly
POLICE are seeking information on a missing motorbike, after four Healesville men allegedly stole it last month.
Acting Healesville Police Sergeant, Richard Coulson, said that four Healesville men, aged between 18 and 20, burgled a Healesville house on 11 July.
One of the items stolen was an orange and black KTM motorcycle, worth about $15,000.
Sgt Coulson said police had interviewed all four of the men on 14 July, but the motorcycle had not been recovered.
Information about the motorcycle’s engine class was not available.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Healesville Police on 5962 4422.
Car impounded
A RINGWOOD man had his car impounded last week, after being caught driving through Healesville while suspended and with an unregistered car.
At 5pm on Sunday 3 August, police saw the 24-year-old Ringwood man driving along Monda Road in Healesville, and a search of the car’s number plates revealed the plates had been stolen.
When police attempted to flag down the driver, he sped off, and was involved in a five-minute police chase before pulling over.
He was arrested and faces charges of evading police, driving while suspended, using an unregistered motor vehicle and handling stolen goods.
The man was bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Garage break-in
YARRA Glen Police officers are calling for information, after a Dixons Creek property was broken into earlier this month.
Yarra Glen Police Sergeant, Richard Coulson, said that unknown people broke into a locked garage at a Dixons Creek property between 23 July and 3 August.
He said the alleged burglars used a power drill from the garage to break into the house, go into the bedroom and drill their way into a locked gun safe.
They were able to open the gun safe, but left empty-handed, as the safe was empty.

Eyes on supplies
POLICE are asking residents to keep an eye out for building supplies that were stolen from a construction site in Yarra Glen and a Healesville house.
Between 31 July and 1 August, around $3000 in building supplies were stolen from a construction site in Barak Court, Yarra Glen.
Items including double-glazed glass doors were taken, along with general plumbing and building supplies.
Meanwhile, a holiday home on Maroondah Highway in Healesville was broken into between 2 and 3 August.
Two silver Giant bicycles, valued at $700 each, were stolen from the home.
Yarra Glen Police Sergeant, Richard Coulson, urged homeowners to invest in items such as motion-detecting video cameras, and to be vigilant of would-be thieves.
“It’s relatively inexpensive these days, particularly for isolated properties,” Sgt Coulson said.
“We’re warning people to secure items of value when they’re not at home.”
Anyone with information on the stolen items can contact Yarra Glen Police on 9730 1296.
