Stealing from CFA

HEARTLESS thieves are to blame after a pump and hoses were stolen from the Millgrove CFA.
Detective Sergeant John Bergin said the shipping container the goods were stored in was broken into at 1.30am on 29 July.
It is believed the suspects then drove off in a dark-coloured Nissan Skyline.

Thefts from cars
A 16-YEAR-OLD Wandin boy has been interviewed in relation to a number of thefts from cars.
Lilydale CIU Detective Sergeant Mark Smithwick said police received a number of calls in relation to the thefts after a call for witnesses was published in the Mail following several reports in Wandin.

Attempted murder
FOUR people will again face court in relation to an attempted murder in Yellingbo early this year. Karl Ravenhorst, Sydney Ravenhorst, Sharee Hastings and Adrian Francois will face a three-day committal hearing on 15 September at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.

Tools gone
CHAINSAWS and power tools are being stolen throughout the Yarra Valley and police are warning owners to ensure their sheds and ensure cars are locked to deter would-be thieves.

Camp break-in
A MEAT slicer, food items and a television were stolen from the ADNAC Camp in Yarra Junction last week.
Police believe that thieves broke into the kitchen overnight on 29 July, through a rear door.

Laptops stolen
FIVE Acer laptops, valued at $1000 each were stolen from Yellingbo Primary School.
Lilydale CIU Detective Sergeant Mark Smithwick said police were keen to hear any information about the theft on 29 July.

Theft at centre
DAYHAB Addiction Centre in Yarra Junction had cash, mobile telephones and medication stolen during a break-in last week. Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

Just lock it up
DETECTIVE Sergeant John Bergin said it was important that residents ensured they locked their cars and stopped leaving valuables in plain sight.
He said the message still wasn’t getting across and a number of thefts from cars were still being reported.

Burglaries interview
POLICE have interviewed a 40-year-old man from Maffra in relation to a number of residential burglaries in the Yarra Ranges.
Detectives interviewed the man in Sale and charged him with burglaries in Healesville and Mooroolbark. He will appear on summons in court at a later date.
