WHEN the Artrageous Painters of Warburton decided it was time to launch their biggest ever exhibition, they went into it with an “anything is pozible’ attitude.
Speaking on behalf of the group, which has painted together for about 10 years, Kate Collins said The Upper Yarra Valley Art Show will be open to all artists and there is an opportunity for everyone to be involved.
The group went live on the crowdfunding site Pozible with the aim of raising $4000 and with 29 days to go on Friday they were well on their way with $1343 pledged.
The cut-off time is 4.06pm on 23 August.
The show will be held in a beautiful space at the Alpine Hotel from 3 to 12 October.
It will take in two weekends including the Upper Yarra Garden Club’s Open Garden weekend which attracts huge crowds to the district.
The funds will be used to promote the event and for practical items such as a hanging system for the various rooms, screens and prize money.
For those who donate money there are rewards such as original art cards, original paintings, even a portrait of a chosen person or pet.
