Disappointing drivers

Boy airlifted after fall
A PRIMARY school-aged boy was airlifted to hospital from Healesville last week, after falling from his bike in the afternoon.
Ambulance officers were called out to the scene of the Healesville incident at 3.40pm on Tuesday 25 March, after the boy sustained injuries.
An ambulance helicopter picked the boy up from the Don Road Sporting Complex’s helipad at 4.10pm and he was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital for observation.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed the boy was in a stable condition when he was taken to hospital.

Disappointing drivers
POLICE were again left disappointed by drivers along the Black Spur in a recent operation.
Yarra Ranges TMU Sergeant John Morgan said seven vehicles had already been impounded, including a BMW coupe travelling above 140km/h and a Ducati motorcycle travelling at 156km/h.
The operation will continue through to May.
He said the results were really disappointing.
“This operation started in 2008, and we are still getting these high speeds,” Sgt Morgan said.
“It’s disappointing that the message still isn’t getting through.”
He said in the lead-up to Easter, the TMU would run more and more operations, focusing on highways and back roads.
“We just want people to drive sensibly,” he said.
