TRANSFORMING a car park into a festival takes a lot of work, but the organisers of the Wandin Sunset Festival were left in no doubt that it was worth every minute of it.
Stallholders, community groups and people of all ages enjoyed the community atmosphere and activities that included everything from jumping castles and boomerang throwing to salsa dancing and a steam engine.
Music was performed by cover band Led Astray, while a visit from Santa and a fire twirling show helped finish the night.
The festival was funded by the community market held on the fourth Saturday of each month from February to November.
Glenda Cook, one of the organising team, said it was a night for the whole community.
“Everybody loves it, and although it was cut short a little by the wet weather, it went off very well,” she said.
