Young woman killed in crash

By KATH GANNAWAY

POLICE are probing a fatal crash near Bonnie Doon on Sunday which is believed to involve a young Yarra Valley woman.
It’s believed a Toyota Hilux utility being driven by the woman was travelling along Tallangalook Road just after 1pm when she lost control, veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
The female driver, yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. A 20-year-old Seville East man sitting in the front passenger seat received injuries and was taken to the Wangaratta hospital.
Her death brings Victoria’s provisional road toll to 177.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
