Koha big cafe gig

WARBURTON is bracing itself for 11 hours of music, dance, story-telling and fabulous food as the Mega Cafe Koha Fundraiser returns to Wild Thyme Cafe on Sunday.
The event starts at noon and runs through till 11pm beginning with a drumming circle (BYO drum, rattle and funky dance step) and continues with story-telling from quirky raconteur Simon Oats.
The event will then shamelessly shimmy its way through the afternoon and evening with a smorgasbord of eclectic bands and performers including Full Fat, Monkeys Wedding, Enough Said and MyStory, finishing up with some funky dance tunes provided by Soul Dance.
There will be a sausage sizzle and woodfire pizza available and in keeping with the Koha philosophy the event is family friendly, affordable and fun.
There will even be donkey rides along the Yarra for the kids!
Admission is just $10 for adults and gold donation for children under 14 with funds raised going to Koha Community Cafe and young Koha Volunteer Lily Hellicar.
Lily is fundraising to purchase materials to build houses in Cambodia in February next year as part of a local team of young volunteers.
Koha Community Cafe is a community-based project where anyone can enjoy a meal and pay what they can afford, or what they think it is worth.
It operates at the Yarraburn Centre adjacent to the Yarra Junction football ground each Thursday night with meals served between 6pm and 8pm.
