Car seized…again

A P-Plater will have some explaining to do after surrendering his father’s car keys to police for the second time in six weeks.
Warburton police detected the 20-year-old travelling at 116km/h in a 60km/h zone in the Powelltown area at 6.30am.
Officers were conducting an operation on Little Yarra Road after receiving numerous complaints from local residents about poor driver behaviour.
Investigations revealed the same driver had previously been caught performing burn outs in the same car at Mount Donna Buang.
Today’s incident came just two weeks after the driver got his father’s vehicle back from the impoundment yard.
The man is expected to be charged on summons and was forced to fork out more than $1000 in towing costs.
