THOSE unable to make it down to the ballot booths this weekend for the federal election have the option of pre-polling this afternoon and Friday.
Pre-polling booths will be available at a range of locations around the Yarra Ranges from 8.30am to 6pm on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 September, in the lead up to Saturday’s federal election.
In the Casey electorate, voters can make their way to Healesville’s Memorial Hall, Lilydale’s St Patrick’s Parish Community Centre on Jones Street or Ringwood’s Masonic Centre on 24 Warrandyte Road.
In the La Trobe electorate, Berwick Guides Hall on 110 High Street, Boronia Arcade at 246 Dorset Road and Cranbourne’s early voting centre at 160 Sladen Street will all be open for early voters.
On Saturday 7 September, polling booths will officially open from 8am and close for the day at 6pm.
There are a large number of areas to vote on the day of the election, with most primary schools across the Yarra Ranges opening their doors for voters.
