PRE-SCHOOLERS and their parents found out what’s cooking at Yellingbo Primary School last week.
The kids had the run of the beautiful new kitchen, helping to make soup and zucchini fritters as part of a ‘getting to know you’ open day at the school.
Principal Rick Scott said the day was a great success with parents and children invited along to see what a small school has to offer.
The visitors explored the school with the help of a photo trail before returning to the kitchen for a taste test of their earlier endeavours.
Mr Scott said being a little off the beaten track, the school was very pro-active in letting families around the district know it is there.
“I was a great day; we made some connections with people we may not have otherwise contacted,” Mr Scott said.
