CELEBRITY chef Matt Moran has been discovering the fine produce of the Yarra Valley for a new show.
He and his film crew spent last week filming around the region, including a segment at Punt Road Wines on Thursday 23 May.
Well known from his time on MasterChef, as well as premier restaurants in Sydney and Brisbane, Matt will be heading back to his roots in country Australia in the series From Paddock to Plate.
“It’s been both a surprising and satisfying discovery of the amazing array of produce that I’ve found here in the Yarra Valley – everything from snails to sprouts and salmon,” he said.
“The last few days’ filming have been a real learning experience for me – yesterday I hand-milked my first salmon and today I’m spit roasting my first black pig.”
Yarra Ranges Regional Marketing has been working with the producers in showcasing the Yarra Valley for the new Foxtel series, which will air on The LifeStyle Channel later in the year.
