THE tradition of Anzac Day, starting with the Dawn Services, gunfire breakfasts and Anzac marches and continuing with reunions and the odd game of two-up continues to grow in the Yarra Valley each year.
Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to join RSL members at one of the services listed below as part of the Yarra Valley’s recognition of the sacrifice made by past generations of Australians.

Yarra Junction
A DAWN Service will be held at the Cenotaph in Yarra Junction commencing at 6am, followed by a community breakfast at the Upper Yarra RSL in Settlement Road, Yarra Junction. A gold coin donation would be appreciated.
The Anzac Day march will assemble at 10am at the main intersection in Yarra Junction for a march to the Cenotaph commencing at 10.30am. A friendly game of two-up will be played back at the RSL. Lunch will also be available. Phone 5967 1771.

Healesville
A DAWN Service will be held at Healesville RSL at 5.45am and will be followed by the traditional gunfire breakfast in the RSL. Gold coin donation welcome.
The march, assembling at 9.30am for a 10am start at Church Street, will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony and service at the Memorial Hall Cenotaph. Light refreshments will follow at the RSL.

Wandin Yallock
THE Rotary Club of Wandin is hosting the Anzac Day service at the War Memorial on the corner of Hunter and Beenak roads in Wandin Yallock with a public wreath-laying ceremony in|memory of the service men and woman of the Seville and Wandin districts. The service starts at 8.30am and is followed by a community morning tea. Phone Kevin Parker on 5964 4422.

Yarra Glen
The Anzac Day march will start at 10.15am at the Yarra Glen Police Station on King Street and proceed to the Memorial Hall for a 10.30am service. Following the march, there will be a commemorative service after which there will be light refreshments.

Millgrove
THE Millgrove community, in conjunction with Warburton RSL, will hold a Dawn Service at the Millgrove Park Memorial at 5.45am, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the adjacent CFA station. The march will be held at Warburton at 10.20am. Phone Maureen Halit on 5966 5806.

Warburton
THE Anzac Day march will leave from opposite the Alpine Hotel at 10.25am (assembly at the RSL clubrooms at 10.20am) to march to the Cenotaph where a wreath laying ceremony will take place.
A lunch is available at Warburton RSL following the ceremony.

Marysville
THE Anzac Day march will assemble at 10.45am and proceed down Murchison Street to the Cenotaph. The march commences at 11am and will be followed by a service at the Cenotaph and refreshments following. Phone Nick Jans on 0407 008 721.

Lilydale
A DAWN service will be held at 5.45am (assembly from 5.30am) at the Cenotaph in the main street. Concludes at 6.45am followed by a march back to the RSL sub-branch where refreshments will be served and a friendly game of two-up from 9am to 11am. Phone Eric Dosser on 9725 9649.

Kinglake
A DAWN service will be held at 5.30am at St Peter’s WWI Memorial Church, corner of Whittlesea-Kinglake and Baldspur roads. A barbecue breakfast will follow. Phone 9716 2042.
