Polo hits the mark

MORE than 1000 people headed out to Coldstream to watch 14 teams compete in the Cashel Yarra Valley Polo Tournament on the weekend.
The visiting Pebbleridge team won five goals to two against the Yarra Valley Polo Club in the annual Flowerfield Cup, while the RACV Coldstream Cup was won by BFP Real Estate 5.5 goals to 5 goals against Locbuild.
Yarra Valley Polo Club secretary Julie Sampson said it was a very exciting final on Sunday and the ground even held up after the heavy rain overnight.
“Although it was a cool day and everyone had to rug up, the polo was very exciting,” she said.
“We had 14 teams compete and they all look forward to the Yarra Valley Polo tournament, the other teams love the friendly club atmosphere, the picturesque environment and the polo party on Saturday night.”
