Carols by Candlelight Seville: Sunday 16 December at Seville Recreation Reserve next to the water play area. Program begins at 7pm, featuring local performers and highly acclaimed jazz duo Highly Strung and Peter York. Bring a picnic or enjoy a barbecue by the CFA, coffee and ice creams available. Healesville: Saturday 15 December at Healesville Sanctuary. Note the change in venue. Free children’s activities, carols begin at 8pm. Food and drinks available, event sponsored by the Lions Club. Liberty family church hall will be the wet weather venue.
Powelltown: Christmas carols at the Powelltown Church at 7.30pm on Friday 21 December with supper to follow.
Yarra Glen: Sunday 16 December at McKenzie Park at 6.30pm. Sausage sizzle followed by carols, including lots of family fun, activities, live band and local singers. Presented by the Combined Churches of Yarra Glen. Community singing, Santa and local singers. Inquiries to 9730 1054.
Yarra Junction: Thursday 13 December at Yarra Junction Library at 11am. The St Joseph’s Choral Group will perform at the library to help get into the spirit of Christmas.
