SPEND time in the places which have created the best wine tastes – the humble Aussie sheds.
Warburton Highway wineries will be opening its shed doors and vineyards for the annual spring fling, Shedfest.
The wine festival for smaller wineries is a relaxing weekend in October for all involved and is held on the usually quieter side of the valley.
For more than a decade the region embraces its award-winning wines, fantastic regional fare, live music and entertainment for the whole family.
Ten wineries will dust out their sheds and let visitors relax, taste local produce, be captivated by stunning views, chat to winemakers and sip some delightful wines.
Shedfest will be held on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October from 10am to 5pm.
For those who can’t designate a driver, Yarra Valley Winery Tours will have shuttle buses doing a continuous loop of the Shedfest wineries, departing and returning to Lilydale Train Station, for $25 per person.
Entry is $10 and visitors will receive a Spiegelau Souvenir Glass with proceeds supporting local community groups.
